01 / ABOUT THE PLACE

About this place

With its velvety mouthfeel and restrained bitter edge, the Chocolat d'Or is a pastry designed to be savoured layer by layer. The outer coat of refined dark chocolate mousse gives way to an airy caramel mousse inside, leaving a calm, not-too-sweet finish. Like the signature Un Cinq cake, the mousse-based gateaux strike a measured balance between indulgence and lightness, avoiding heavy sweetness.

The fruit cakes and tarts equally show off meticulous crust work and a knack for spotlighting fresh ingredients. The fruit tart, for example, pairs syrup-soaked biscuit crust with a neat, colourful arrangement of juicy fruits. The display case also features everyday treats, from cream puffs and puddings to baked goods such as butter sandwiches and banana bread.

For anniversaries and special celebrations, whole cakes such as the fruit shortcake are available by reservation, complete with optional chocolate plaques printed with your chosen image. Message stickers bearing greetings like congratulations or tokens of appreciation are also on hand, making it easy to add a personal touch to gifts. Because operations are primarily takeaway and popular items can run low as the afternoon progresses, stopping by earlier in the day is recommended if you have your heart set on a specific pastry.
